What is the First Aid for Stress?
My First Aid for Stress program is a simple explanation as to how stress, fatigue, burnout and tension are created and experienced in your body and how to feel better. It covers the physical, emotional and spiritual implications of your negative (and positive) thoughts. You will also learn simple, fast-acting, effective calming techniques which will even reduce and stop the symptoms of panic attacks – this is what I call finding your neutral zone.
What is the Antidote for Stress, how are they different?
The Antidote for Stress expands and digs deeper (withoutlegnthly distressing discussions about the ‘problem’. This is designed to clear your negative self-talk and ‘up-level’ your emotions permanently. Negative thoughts and self-talk blight so many lives, if you suffer inner turmoil from you constant stream of self-talk you can retrain your brain. You will learn:
- how to boost your self-esteem and confidence
- how to clean up your negative thinking permanently
- how to forgive other people as well as yourself
- how to let go of upset, blame and guilt
- how to love and be kind to yourself
What are the six key principles?
- Thought creates all of your feelings including your experience of Stress
- The quality of your thoughts determines the quality of each and every moment of your life
- Every thought you have creates your future
- The point of power is in the ‘neutral- zone’
- Thoughts can be changed
- Everyone suffers from self-criticism, guilt and self-hatred
Is the program a little ‘out there’ or ‘woo-woo’?
No, not at all. It’s based on up-to-date science facts, biology, chemistry, physics, and indeed history. This is effectively a lecture on ‘how the human body really works’. There is an overlap of psychological and spiritual understanding to thought and energy which is discussed during my advanced (antidote for stress) workshops. Whilst you may be unfamiliar with some or many of the ‘exercises’ there is a logical explanation and rational to each exercise. If you choose not to partake in the exercises that is ok.
Will I know that I’m getting better?
Trust me you’ll know! You’ll feel better, lighter, it may be subtle to start with but after 7 days it starts to become more obvious. Your mind and body will quieten, tension will ease and you will feel relaxed & peaceful. When you do the 21 day exercise you will notice significant changes. It is up to you whether you continue with my suggestions, if you do I guarantee you will continue to more ease, more peace and (simply put) happier in yourself. You can heal and transform your life.
How do I know if I’m not?
You will continue to feel as you ‘normally’ do i.e. tension, stress, sadness or pain in your body or your mind.
Is it achievable or preserved for ‘Buddhist monks only type’ karmic state?
Thankfully anyone can achieve this; I do encourage simple meditation exercises, nothing ‘difficult’ I promise and for those who find that they like meditation I will even share my personal 10 day UK meditation place of retreat!
What can I do each day to get a little bit closer to reducing my Stress?
Remember the truth about all your feelings and all your stress: it’s always created by thought.
If you are subjecting yourself to a host of negative, upsetting thoughts ask yourself this: will it matter in 5 hours? 5 days? 5 weeks? 5 months? 5 years?
If the answer is no, which it probably will be, let it go or ‘drop the dead donkey’ as my friend Susie says.
Simply put some distance between whatever is causing your stress and yourself. Take a few moments ‘time out’ breathe deeply and freely, and remember we are all doing the best we can in the moment… even if that best is rude, judgmental, upset or angry.
If you find one person/ specific circumstance who regularly knocks you out of feeling happy and peaceful to angry, aggressive and fearful learn to forgive them, let go and distance yourself from them, permanently.
Never expect anyone else to change, be the change that you want to see in your world.
